Outdoor Boudoir Session | Bella J | Victoria BC

Bella J and I were so lucky to have scheduled our outdoor boudoir session for this gorgeous sunny autumn day recently in Victoria, BC. After a week or so of rain, the sun was a welcome surprise!

We hiked into the forest for our outdoor boudoir session where we did one part traditional boudoir session, part of which is pictured below, and one part fantasy-inspired session (which I’ll highlight in another post).

The Session…

Bella J has gorgeous tattoos that we wanted to highlight, so we kept the looks really simple – I had a vintage slip with me that we used, and Bella J wore her favourite pair of panties because she loves the way her bum looks in them. You really don’t need much for a successful boudoir session, as long as you understand the basics of consent, posing, what your client thinks is sexy. Listening to your client to figure out what they want to get out of their session is so important to getting the shots your clients will LOVE.

When she saw the photos…

I don’t typically share nudes, but this session was so body positive that I had to share a few (with her permission, of course). She loves her body, she’s proud of it, and she works to keep it strong through practicing yoga.

She said, “OMG, these are amazing! You did such a great job making me look my best. I’m totally comfortable with you sharing ANYTHING from the session”. Bella J was so fun and easy to work with that our time together just flew by. She is truly a beautiful soul, inside and out.
